Geir Oppegård stortrives

Det er snart fire måneder siden den erfarne montøren Geir Oppegård begynte hos Emil Solbakken AS. Han stortrives på sin nye arbeidsplass.

 

– Jo, her trives jeg virkelig godt. Vi har et veldig fint miljø. Det er jo ikke så mange av oss her, så man blir både fort og godt kjent med alle sammen, sier Oppegård, som har mer enn 14 års erfaring i bransjen.

 

Montering og service

Det er mye å gjøre hos Emil Solbakken AS. Elverumsbedriften har et bredt sortiment av produkter til både private og industri, og det er travle dager for Oppegård og kollegene hans.

– Nå har jeg akkurat skiftet lameller på en garasjeport her i Elverum, og jeg skal bare innom kontoret før jeg drar ut og monterer en ny port på et privathus her i distriktet, sier Oppegård, og forteller at det er mest montering, men også en god del service han jobber med.

– Det er nok å henge fingrene i. Særlig nå i høysesongen står jobbene i kø.

 

Sommerfisker

Geir Oppegård er vaskeekte Hedmarking. Han er født og oppvokst på Løiten, for en del år siden, som han sier.  Nå bor han og kona i Heradsbygda, mens de tre barna for lengst er voksne og flyttet hjemmefra. Han trives godt ute i naturen. På sommerstid, vel å merke.

– Særlig fisking, det synes jeg er artig. Det spiller ingen rolle om det er ferskvann eller salt. Jeg har en svigermor som er fra Lofottraktene, så vi reiser mye nordover. Jeg synes det er veldig fint der, og så hender det jo at jeg får en av de store suggene på kroken der oppe. Den største jeg har fått er nok en torsk på en fem, seks kilo.

Men vinterfiske er ikke noe for Oppegård.

– Nei, når jeg kommer hjem kald og sliten om vinteren, ja da synes jeg det er godt å være inne i varmen. Da får det helst bli med sport på fjernsynet.
